What is an Artisan Keycap?
Artisan keycaps are individually crafted decorative keycaps designed to add personality to a mechanical keyboard. Unlike a standard keycap set, artisan keycaps are often sculpted, cast, and finished by hand, turning an individual key into a small piece of functional art.
Our artisan keycaps are designed and handmade in California.
Will this keycap fit my keyboard?
Our artisan keycaps feature a standard MX-style (+) stem and are designed to fit mechanical keyboards using MX-compatible switches.
Not sure if your keyboard is compatible? Remove one of your existing keycaps and check the switch underneath. If the stem has the familiar + shape, our artisan keycaps should fit. You can also check your keyboard or switch manufacturer’s specifications for MX-style keycap compatibility.
How do i install an Artisan Keycap?
Use a keycap puller to gently remove your existing keycap by pulling it straight upward. Align the + shaped stem on the underside of your artisan with the stem on your switch, then gently press the keycap into place.
Artisan keycaps can be placed on any compatible key, so where yours lives is entirely up to you.
How long does it take to process an order?
In-stock items are typically processed within 5-7 business days. Processing times may vary depending on the product type and can take longer following holidays or during busy periods. Please note that business days are Monday through Friday and do not include weekends or U.S. holidays.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we proudly offer worldwide shipping to most countries! While we currently cannot ship to China, Russia, or Brazil due to restrictions, we’re happy to serve customers across the globe. Wherever you are, we’ll work to get your order to you as quickly and securely as possible.
What is your return policy?
We accepts returns or exchanges 14 days within receipt of your order. Please read our full refund policy for details.
Are Foundation Series products in-stock?
Yes. Foundation is our collection of evergreen products designed to remain in stock and available outside of our limited releases and collaborations.
Occasionally, a color or sculpt may sell out while we make more, but Foundation products are intended to be restocked.
Why does my keycap look slightly different from the photos?
Every artisan is made individually by hand. Small variations in color, finish, texture, and other details are a natural part of our casting process. These subtle differences are part of what makes each piece unique.
What is "Cold Casting"?
Cold casting is a technique that incorporates real metal powders into resin to create the look and feel of a metallic finish. Foundation colorways labeled as cold cast use this process, while other colorways are created using our traditional resin casting techniques.
