Minerva LX’s design language draws heavy inspiration from the works of Dieter Rams, embracing a balance of function and form. Subtle details, like the tapered accent lip around the keys and the T523-inspired Nubbin Badge, add to its refined aesthetic. The sloped front and back give the board a grounded, planted look, while the boldly accentuated seam between the top and bottom case adds a striking contrast.

The backside of the board maintains our minimal approach with a center aligned USB-C connector and our “Nubbin Badge” aligned to the left. These magnetic pegs (or Nubbins, your choice) are our way of enabling you to easily customize your badge to fit your setup, your keysets, or your mood. The nubbins are resin cast in-house, and of course, you can expect us to release many options for you to choose from in the future.

Minerva is available in two primary designs with multiple layout options. Your layout options will vary depending on which Top Case design you choose. (WK or WKL).

Minerva’s mounting system features five uniquely designed injection-molded silicone Sleeve-Gaskets, slotted between the top and bottom case. These gaskets absorb vibrations from the plate, preventing resonant frequencies from transferring through the board. The result is a truly isolated sound profile paired with natural flex, delivering a refined and satisfying typing experience.

The recessed weight spans a large portion of the board’s underside, featuring a subtle nod to the Nubbin Badge design with its distinct dimpled surface. Available in a variety of finishes, each weight offers a unique aesthetic and feel:Weights are available in Raw Sandblasted Brass (which encourages a natural patina), Brass Black Mirror PVD, Brass Black PVD, Brass Dark Gray PVD, Copper w/ Anti-Tarnish and Aluminum E-White.

The Minerva PCB is engineered for flexibility—both in layout and feel. Strategically placed flex cuts in high-traffic areas, such as the alphas, enhance typing dynamics. Choose between Hotswap or Solderable configurations to match your build preferences.

A unique feature of the Minerva PCB is its UV LED integration at the Escape key and macro columns, designed to illuminate UV-reactive artisan keycaps. The LEDs require through-switch soldering for installation and can be toggled on or off at your convenience.

Built for seamless compatibility, the PCB supports QMK and VIA and connects via an EZMATE connector to a custom low-profile Daughter Board, featuring a USB-C port, ESD protection, and Reverse Current Protection for long-term reliability.

Our plate offers a subtle flexible feel across the board, enhanced by bridge-like contact points with our custom Sleeve-Gaskets. Available in FR4, Carbon Fiber, or Black Anodized Aluminum, each material provides a distinct typing experience.
